The tamanu tree is a tropical plant that grows in coastal areas and is commonly found in tropical regions. Tamanu trees are medium-sized, reaching 8-20 meters in height. Their leaves are dark green, thick, and shiny, while their flowers are white with a distinctive fragrance.
Tamanu trees have many benefits. Tamanu seeds are used to propagate or cultivate tamanu plants. Tamanu trees themselves are used as water absorbers to maintain groundwater stability in their environment, prevent soil erosion, produce oxygen, and contribute to decarbonization by absorbing carbon emissions.
Tamanu trees, especially their seeds, can produce bioenergy or Nyamplung Crude Oil, a raw material for biodiesel, biofuel, oil, kerosene, LPG, and other fuels such as briquettes.
They can produce oil and sap that can be used as pharmaceuticals (Biopharmaka), particularly as antiinflammatory agents and for healing new skin wounds. The pulp from pressed tamanu seeds can also be used as an ingredient in animal feed. And so on.
